What is your favorite part of your job?
There is always something new to learn – every day. The fact that I get to work alongside some of the best and brightest in the industry is an amazing bonus.
How do you stay organized at work?
My Outlook calendar coupled with my daily to-do list (I write out the next day’s tasks every night before I leave – I’ve been told a time or two it’s “overkill”) and the occasional Sharpie-on-hand reminder for the really important things keep me sane!
What is the best piece of career advice you’ve ever received?
Ask everyone’s opinions, and treat everyone you meet (no matter their level) with respect and open-mindedness.
What food is always on your mind and why?
An epic charcuterie board with an emphasis on the cheese. When it comes to that very important component, I’ve found that the key to a stellar platter is knowing what you like and finding a variety of flavor profiles and textures (that’s more than half the fun!). When in doubt go with something aged, something new, something soft and something blue. Oh, and don’t forget the pickled vegetables!
One thing people are surprised to learn about me is:
I have ridden a bicycle across the country (Providence, RI to Half Moon Bay, CA)! Since completing that trip, I have become a firm believer that there is no better way to see our beautiful country than via two wheels and your own strength and willpower.
